My Favorite moment with wedding flowers

I really enjoy meeting with the new Brides-to-be to plan their wedding flowers. Truth be told,however,one of my favorite moments is when I,myself,get to deliver a bridal bouquet to the Bride. I love seeing the sparkle in her eyes when I hand the Bride a beautiful floral bouquet. Unfortunately,sometimes I don’t have the opportunity to deliver the flowers in person – especially when I work with out-of-state couples. We do a lot of planning and consultation by email,phone,Skype and even by text messages. There have been a few times when I don’t even get the pleasure of meeting the Bride at all:if the family members come to pick-up the flowers or if we do the floral set-up for the ceremony and/or reception before the couple arrives,I may not get to meet them.

Still,I am always happy to hear from the Brides and their Moms about the experience they have working with me. I am especially delighted when I get to hear that “you really got my style” or “the flowers were exactly what I wanted”. These words always make my day. I love what I do,and there is nothing more rewarding than to know how happy you were on your wedding day!

Last week I was absolutely delighted to hear from a Mother-of-the-Bride (Amy) who I have never met. She had called me to order the flowers for the Bridals,we discussed the flowers and colors that her daughter loves…. The Groom’s Mother (a very friendly lady with a beautiful smile!) stopped by to pick up the flowers. Later,Amy sent me the pictures of the Bridals with a very sweet note:“Nice work,Olga! As you can see the flowers looked gorgeous in the photos. Thank you so much!”.
