I love a good challenge and sure enough Taylor from Taylor Made Weddings and Events and Darci from Elan Magazine know how to create a good challenge! These two Ladies are masterminds of creativity and outside-the-box thinking.
For me,the challenge was the combination of colors –red, white and blue –that needed to look summery, fresh and festive. The bridal bouquet needed to be red and green, centerpieces red and white and,for whatever reason,I associate these colors with Christmas … and to further strengthen the (unintended) Christmas theme, the main flowers were red and white –Carnations and Tulips. The only help I had –there were turquoise and blue accents.
Taylor came up with the amazingly fresh idea of having a suspended entryway and a dessert table canopy – something I have never seen used in weddings before. An interesting combination of different style, shape and texture vases for the centerpieces and buffet table created a great visual effect, and of course, asymmetrically arranged flowers brought it all together.
The photos from this shoot exceeded my expectations –above and beyond –and as a result, this shoot has been already featured in two highly respectful publications in Utah – Elan Woman Magazine and Utah Bride and Groom Magazine blog.
